    Hi Everyone,.

I am revamping my website Operation Stand By Me, (which is a sight dedicated to supporting and helping soldiers and their families ) and offer people a varity of links they can check out. While I am reconstructing right now, I thought it would be a great oppertunity to add more links, maby even yours. If you have writen any hubs regaurding our troops or personal experiences, whether you served or just a friend or family member I'd love to add your links to provide more reading for my visitors. If your intrested, drop me an email with your link and I'll add it to my home page.

I don't know if this is relevant to your site, but I've written a fairly detailed hub about the rise of Afghan islamist extremism in the context of Afghan Sikhs and Hindus.

My best advice to him would to be is to prepare himself with self knowledge for where he may be deployed to, which will probally be Afghanistan.
These link's are the best in my opinion:
Bouhammer is a  22-year veteran of the Army, currently serving as a Senior NCO in the Army National Guard.  It is now one of the leading and award-winning blogs written exclusively on operations in Afghanistan and other military related topics.

As for your daughter,..Time seperated is a difficult thing. Best way to handle it, Stay busy. That's what I did, turning my focus on pitching in on the efforts to getting support for our soldier's. It help's pass time and it makes you feel good knowing your actions are helping your loved one when it comes down to it. Also I'd like to mention,..if she ever needs friends who understand their is an online radio show called Hooah Radio - They are wonderful - the Dj's have loved one deployed and currenting going thrrough boot camps also. It;s a wonderful little community and they have a chat room where we all get together. She would be more than welcomed to join in. If it wer'nt for them I don't think I would of made it through my son's deployment.
