Or is it best to just let it happen organically?

Submitting a site to it has no association to PR

But, if it hurts SERP results, possibly for a little while? I'd say it's best to just make a link on another site and help google find it that way smile

I'm just getting impatient waiting for a new site to be indexed with Google.

Link with a hubpage or one of the major social networking sites and you should see your site start to get indexed very quickly.

Have you submitted a sitemap using Google webmaster tools?  That can help get it indexed quicker sometimes, but your real challenge is to get it to rank, and that's going to need links.  So, start linking and the indexing will take care of itself.

Just wait and don't be impatient.
