    You Know what really sad now-a-days?? How cell phones have taken over the world! Today the house phone rang, my parents were lost. Completely. Their like..... "What's that?"

    Yeah, my mom doesn't even have a home phone. Just a cell phone. I was talking to my husband about getting a phone when we get our own place and he said there was no reason to.

    I still like knowing there's a land line, even if it has only basic service.  You don't have to worry about it being charged, about the power going out, or about not getting your town's "reverse 911" calls.

      AND you can leave it home. i need a break once in a while. its ok if someone has to wait 10 minutes while im out, to tell me the latest inane dirty joke...
