Lawrence, Kansas. Brings back a lot of memories of college. No, I didn't go to KU, but I sure as hell got drunk there A LOT. Been to Madison for "Weed-fest". I didn't smoke there, but I watched all my "friends" get blotto on the "funk". Tulsa, OK just makes me think of red dirt.

For some people travel is great. But my experiences were bad and sense of never having a place to call home continues to haunt me.

Do I win something? Or should I expect all of my outstanding warrants to catch up to me? "Thank You and as a parting gift, I'm gonna' have to as you to put your hands behind your back". Do you realize that crossing state lines while being an idiot is a felony?"
I've been there only once though. My buddy and I are pilots and we wanted to fly across the country. We landed at Keokuk during the floods about a year and a half ago and I was very impressed. Beautiful
I went back for dad's funeral last year. Hadn't been back to Iowa in 7 years. It "is" amazing how much I miss the trees. California has nothing close. Well the mountains, but I'm in Bako. Which is like living in Afghanistan, without the "atmosphere".
That's a little harsh, wafflecheese There's the Missouri River which runs in between Kansas City Kansas and Missouri And Missouri has the Ozark Mountainst the Lake of the Ozarks The Mark Twain National Forest Kansas has the tall grass prarie .... Every state in this country has it's own beauty
I still have family all over down there. Luckily, I found my wife and 3 of my kids out here (added a 4th) We may go back someday, when I get what I came to California for. (it wasn't necessarily my wife & 3 of my kids w/a 4th) : )
