Hello, I'm brand new here. Just started making my first hub tonight. Can someone please explain to me what the number after my title signifies? Also, I just uploaded a pic for my profile, and there's a number showing up on that.

Looking forward to knowing what these numbers are about...

The number next to your hub title is the HubScore and the number that you have in your profile pic is your Hubber Score.

Okay, thanks for your prompt answer. I don't think I've ever had such a quick answer on any forum ever!

I see I have some studying to do.

        You're welcome.

If you change your profile pic from a feline to a female you'll halve the response time from some of the guys here. Though they might not be able to point you in the right direction or have the answers you need.

The numbers mean little or nothing-- especially if you are new (-- or old).

I can be a way of measuring your progress, but you will learn that (and learn to ignore it for the most part) as you go along. Welcome to HubPages!

The numbers might mean more to you after you write a hub or two. Go for it . . . It's fun.

Thanks, Rochelle, your answer was reassuring.

I was already starting to get worried.

By the way, guys, I'm keeping the feline pic.

        By all means do!

I trust that the cat in question has already worked out the royalties they'll get paid for use of their image when the money starts coming in from advertising revenue. smile

She's requested that all royalties be paid in catnip.

Does Adsense pay out in Catnip? I know they do Australian Dollars.

It's the hub community hub score and it goes up and down.
