Can anyone help me understand why I can't upload text from a pre-existing file? I have Microsoft Works Word Processor. For some unknown reason, when I try to paste from there, it shuts the internet down on my computer. Is there a block on Hubpages preventing uploading?
I haven't come across that problem. I copy and paste work from Word or Notepad all the time. If Word is giving you a problem, what about other programs? Have you tried them?
What browser are you using? They always say you should use Firefox with HP. You could check your firewall, and see that it allows Word to access the internet or something.
I have heard of this same problem in the past and most will recommend using Wordpad or Notepad. I just copy, paste from one pgm n cut from Note to HP. Welcome to HubPages, Marcy
