we knew what you meant, the boob avatars generally don't stay around long, have you noticed? smiley, you're always giving out great advice and that brings genuine fans. back to work for now, just dropping in.
Yes, you will get more fans. That is a given fact.
Put up a sexy picture of a scanitly clad female and your fans will come flocking in.
Holier than thou types will often respond by saying ...'yeah but, it's not the picture that attracts me it's the quality of your hubs, your writing style... yadda yadda yadda'. While this argument may carry weight for some, it does not apply to the majority.
So lose the glasses, grow longer hair, sprout some heaving bosoms and paint your lips a luscious red and observe as your fan total reaches epidemic proportions.
Well, that's the question you should ask yourself. You are a man, and what attracts your attention?
Anyway, like someone said here, this is not a beauty contest. If your hubs are interesting, they are interesting. If they are not, they are not, straight and simple. And I'd not become a fan of someone if I don't like his/her writing.
I did this once as an experiment. I adopted the image of Miss Philippines 2007 to see what happened. I got alot of interest, but mainly propositions and proposals from blokes. Some of them where most forward. One was especially taken, and started writing to me besotted. I had to come clean in the end, and say "look! I'm just a bearded guy who wears a panama hat!" I never heard from him again. Shame. It Could have developed into a wonderful relationship.
"Some Like it Hot"! Sadly I must have cooled his ardour. As for your "ugly mug" - beauty is in the eye of the beholder - not mine, but how much money have you got?
you said this "are you so precious that you need people to read your hubs? What does it matter if they read them or not? Have you an over inflated sense of your own writing style... are you a wannabe just waitng to be discovered? lol "
thats your word, it is rude and you need to respect people...
So, your concept of respect is to be encouraging and supportive, say good things about peoples hubs and generally be an all round nice girl? Nothing wrong with that. This concept of respect will be shared by many wannabe's.
However, showing respect does not need to be sugar coated in this fashion. Being brutally honest is also a form of respect. If that does not fit with your concept of respect then you need to broaden your understanding of what resoect is. Respect is not about being nice and agreeing with everything you say.
Well one can be honest without being rude, or even negative. That is your choice, or since you weren't asked directly, perhaps it would be wise to be silent. It's better to be quiet and thought a fool then to open one's mouth and remove all doubt, no?
You know what, you can always say things in a nice way. I dont require you to agree with what I say, nor I require the thousands of hubbers here to have the same opinion with me, just dont insult somebody,
Sit down for a minute, think and review what you said, and apologize, thats being a man, or rather a person....
Of course it isn't ! And you should broaden you understanding as well, concerning manners. Not all people like to be treated the way you do, specially ladies. If you want to fight, you can do that with me. I can't care less what you have to say !
Sexy Jonty is an Indian man hiding behind an attractive picture of an Indian female.
This example rather illustrates the point the OP makes. Sexy Jonty merely uses his fake female picture as a way of pulling people towards his hubs. He's a conman... oops, smart businessman I should say. hahaha.
Just be aware of who you are dealing with. I detest the fakes.
It's not about being perceived as vacuous - pretty girl, firm ripe breats, dumb brain - it's about using it as a business tool. There is a modus operandi at work in using a hot picture to attract visitors.
Indian men hide behind attractive indian females as a way of luring you to their hubs. Look around you, there is an explosion of hubs feature bollywood actresses / models in varying states of undress. Having an ugly fat Indian male as your avatar pic would be counter productive to your agenda of drawing people to view your hubs.
Even your avatar is a fake representation. What does that say about you?
Sure, this topic has been discussed before - but I want a fresh take. So, I'd like to ask the following questions~ a) do you use a picture of yourself or do you prefer an avatar? (and why, if you care to elaborate),...
I wish to save somebodies profile pic as a jpg, preferably larger than the one shown, in order to do a suprise tribute hub to them. Dont worry, they would appreciate it, and it wont be too sickly.I know that there is a...
