What's your favourite acronym?

  1. The Bard profile image83
    The Bardposted 7 years ago

this is mine "TLA" - used to identify acronyms.

eg: The CIA is a TLA

    The FBI is a TLA

A TLA is a Three Letter Acronym

    LOL! wink Oops there's another!

What about LMAO - thats a FLA (four letter acronym - which is still only a TLA really) or ROTFLMAO that's an ELA. (Eight Letter Acronym). Confusing innit? wink

When I did my Corporate America stint, I must have done a gazillion presentations to internal groups, clients, etc. Every now and again, the numbers didn't seem to add up. So we would put our own spin on them and footnote them as "M.I.U., (year)". Little did the audience know that M.I.U. stood for "Made It Up". Never was questioned on it, though!
