I've been enjoying reading various hubs - enough to take the time to make really good comments on what I've read. I haven't done many (I'm new and taking it slow), but I know of at least two that I have made. Neither show up when I hit the submit button - nor do they show up in my own stats under "Comments You Made."
It's been a few days since the first comment; the other I just made about 10 minutes ago...
Is there a secret to this?

Some people have their Comment Capsules set for their approval before the comment is shown.

Do you find that leaving comments and replying to them increases your stats, or does it take you away (time wise) from writing hubs?

When a Hub author selects "Comments must be approved before they appear" in their comments capsule, you as the commenter don't have the opportunity to preview or edit your comment once you click...
