The last time it snowed here was end of January this year. Then all this huge city was forced to a standstill - very little or no transport, barely live public services and lots of injuries. Just because it was the first time in about 25 years London saw snow in substantial amounts.
Oh Poppa, you should've seen what was happening here when London got about 3-4 inches of snow overnight... for 2 or 3 nights in a row... And taking into account the weather this summer here, I'd say we have a global cooling, not warming.
Poppa, years ago it was common to have snow in England at this time of year. Global warming has been going on for a century, so the younger generations have gotten used to not seeing it.
Weather will always fluctuate, although the trend is generally for the climate to get warmer. So we still get cold snaps. And people think there must be something odd about the weather, because we're not used to them any more. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/weath … tists.html
I'm supposed to be going across the UK on Saturday from Essex to Leeds but I'm really worried that the weather will be bad and I'll get stuck in tons of traffic. Thinking bout getting the train but that could be just as bad weather-wise.
Yes thats right, there are snow flurries. I am in SOUTH Florida. Ya know? Heaven's waiting room? Where most of the population is over 65, everyone has a tan, and we can wear flip flops year round... and it is 30 degrees...
...in south-central Indiana. No joke!It was cold when I left the house earlier this evening. Colder still when I left point A to go to a restaurant. Leaving after eating, we sure enough saw white stuff...
Looks like a White Christmas is coming in Arkansas. Was forcasted for tonight, but rain turning to sleet already and especting snow to start anytime now. Weatherman says could be any where from 6-10 inches.
