I am trying to get google webmaster tool to verify my profile. Is this possible or has hubpages already done this on my/our behalf?
There is a spot in the affiliate section where you verify your account.
You have no access to root files to be able to add metatags on HubPages, as you do not own the site.
oh.. o.k. we as a collective dont own the site, therefore, dont own our profiles or material?
You don't need webmaster tools for HubPages. You need to have your own hosted domain in order to use webmaster tools.
to restate what relache said: is that since you don't own the domain, you have no access to it to add the code webmaster tools gives you.
oh.. ok. I was just playing around with my google adsense account, just trying to make sense of it.
Thanks for clearing it up x
