help, my adsense account has disappeared. How doi I get it back?

   Yesterday, when I went to check my adsense account, the google site kept telling me to sign up for a new account--didn't recognize that I already had one.  There is no place to sign in either. And google adsense help wasn't helpful either. Same thing happened whether  I tried to access adsense from hubpages or directly from google-- my adsense account has just disappeared. Has this happened to anybody else? and how do I get it back?

      well the only option there seems to be to post a message on their forum. which I will do but in the meantime, do I open a new account using the tracker from hubpages like I did before? and is my tracker still the same? and what happens to the big two dollars that I have earned LOL? I wish there were some way to contact a live person because their help menu doesn't seem to include this problem-- guess I better start over and open a new account eh?

   Did you retain any email at all from Google AdSense (any confirmation/verification/notification emails)? If so, there should be a link or information on how to contact AdSense support.
   
   It wouldn't hurt to include your AdSense ID (if not in the email already, then you can copy it from here) if they can't seem to find your account via your email address.

      Thanks Jason-- just sent forwarded the thread of my email correspondence with google to you guys. I'm so grateful to know you are there-- I feel lost in automated email land:-) Yes I do have a confirmation email from adsense thanking me for signing up through hubpages on January 13th but there are only no reply links on it, I think. I'll check.  They already have my adsense ID (the ID on my hubpages afflilliate page.<sigh, I feel like Alice down down the rabbit hole> nothing more I can do unless you can think ofsomething...... it still says that I don't have an adsense account.

   I also received an email from Google about my adsense account. I had to go through the process of accepting the terms, and then (although I was afraid) I let them set me up a new Google account. I believe the email said something about adsense accounts no longer being seperate from Google accounts.
   
   I do not have other Google accounts so I did not have any other log ins other than my adsense. Once I went through the process I was able to sign in with my previous adsense log in and all of my information, earnings and all was there just like before. The email said that we have to be very sure to have our log in information because that was the only way we could log into Google.
   
   Hope this helps - I have just assumed that all hubbers had this same email.

      Thanks Deb-- you got an email? I didn't, but then I had both and adsense and gmail account already. hmmmmmm thanks thought this might be related.

   when I tried to log in to adsense yesterday, I had to change my account, I wonder if they were asking you to do the same? the idea is to have adsense connected to your Gmail account so that you use the same pass word for both, that way when you are in your gmail you just need to click on adsense, and it will automatically come up on screen without the need for a pass word.
   took me a while before i realised what was happening.....jimmy

      well no I don't think that's it. I opened both my gmail and my adsense account the same day and today in one of those no-reply emails they had me change my password for the adsense account. I did and found that it also had changed on my gmail account so the two are somehow already in sync.  But it is nice to know that this is about something google is up to and it does help( thanks deb)  Maybe I somehow got lost in the sauce when they changed their password and account settings for one and all.< sigh> another techno glitch. Everything was fine yesterday afternoon and then last night when I went to check my vast adsense earnings(irony intended) zappo--I had no account.
      
      BTW Jimmy, what do you mean you had to "change your accouint"  Did you have to open up a new one? Did they ask you to or what?

   Google has new AdSense terms of service that they are making everyone read and agree to, and that might be confusing people into thinking they somehow lost an old account or need to make a new one.
   
   If you don't agree to the new terms by May 25, that's when you'll lose your account, but if you see new terms, there is a spot to accept them and it doesn't make you start a new account.

   Additionally, if you select the option to accept the new terms, the option to go on into your adsense account opens up.  This option is greyed out and unclickable before you choose the accept option.  Far below that, the option to not accept the terms is clickable, as well as a button which lets you open a new adsense account.  I went through this yesterday, so I urge everyone who thinks their adsense is gone to read all the options which you can click at the base of the terms of service very very carefully so you don't risk losing your account.

   Thank you thankyou thankyou< see me groveling before you> relache and gamergirl That was it. I accepted the new terms of service and got to my account to find that I am 0.16 cents richer than I was last night LOL----ohboy do I feel stupid. Thanks to you too Jason and now, of course google will get back to me with yet another automated email LOL. I'm computer literate but far from techno-saaavy and I do tend to freak out over these things( also have some major control issues but that's another story) anyway, now I am a happy camper--thanks to you all

    oh yeah-one more question. On my afflilliates page, next to where it says google, it still says sign up instead of edit--even though when I go to the box below where it says check my earnings, I can do that-- what's up with that?does it matter?

       yup --in fact my total earnings are over $3.00 now. I'm a rich woman .....but obviously a woman who still has a lot to learn about google adsense. Feel kinda silly now
