I was wondering if anyone knew whether inserting URL trackers from hubpages would affect search engine rankings since those ranking take into account back-links and the URL trackers change the URL of the link.

    Thanks!!

Many search engines will remove trackers from their indexes.

Ok, so does that mean that I should just go ahead and use them?

When resolved it will count as the normal default URL. So you can use them.

Though avoid using them at social bookmarking sites, they don't like people submitting links with what is effectively an affiliate link.

Here's something that Paul Deeds said about 301 redirects that should put your mind at ease.

I have automatically used the tracker in Url, now I think I shall not ... just to be safe.  Thanks for clarifying this x
