Why I get to the last step of creating a new hub and it tells me to enter the text below and there is NO TEXT? Yes, I checked my browser and firewall settings and cookies are enabled.

Oh, and I've also checked the folder where my cookies are sent and there are definitely hubpage cookies there. Hmmmmmm anybody?

Trying to help, but have a difficult time understanding what you mean. You are trying to add text where? Into a text capsule? Sounds like maybe you mean the human readable text for security purposes. In that case, maybe the images are getting blocked somehow. I have posted the link to the email page for technical support, this could be difficult to solve otherwise.

Yes that is what I mean. I'm also getting the message if I try signing up for stumbleupon. Says I have javascript turned off or blocked, which of course I don't. I've read forums but they mostly pertain to YouTube which I have no problem watching videos on. I'll try tech support, but if anyone has had these problems I'd appreciate some help.

        Thanks

You need to make sure your javascript is up-to-date too, and that you are using a compatible browser version.

You are having trouble with the verification system, which prevents automated programs from posting.  On HubPages it's Captcha.

Yep. Using Firefox 3 and just downloaded the latest version of Java. By my replies I assume the Captcha server isn't down. This is frustrating. Java is enabled.

Well, if both HP and SU give you problems, and no other people around have such problems - it's likely your computer, not HP or SU. Could be some security settings, antivirus, buggy popup blocker - just generating from the top of my head, you should know better what stuff you have installed...

Did you try with a different browser? If IE doesn't work either, you could try downloading a portable browser that you can use without even installing it. Try Chrome or the latest version of Firefox. These portables tend to have their own settings, different from your own computer's default settings.
