You should have an option in your profile to change the looks to more neutral ones. And if you find a theme for phpbb that you like, just let me know and I upload it there for you

   You know I am still none the wiser as exactly what Lyricsingray (Kimberly) did that was so bad as to warrant the attacks she has received on this forum. If the worst she has done is recover from being a drug addict then I admire her for not only beating the problem, but also for being open enough to share her experiences on Hubpages, (especially if she has been attacked for it since). Am I missing something here?

      It looks like it was a combination of several normally decent people loosing their cool. Was spread over several threads and several days, and I frankly have no interest in going back and re-reading all that stuff in an attempt to figure out who to blame more and who less...

    Why do my friends seem to be so disagreeable on these 'fun' threads? I could be that way as well, but I have to just bite my tongue sometimes. Believe me, life is just too short for this sort of thing. It grieves me to return after my own battles to read these things. Ach well, life goes on and I will try to have some fun now.

    LOL K@ri, they are counting on the Mountain snows for CA and Hawaii, that makes up for the 50 states having snow. The people  in Dixie can't handle an inch, we have about 20 inches so far and still have business and school as usual.

    I only follow people whose hubs I like, and I still get a few people who seem genuinely interested in my Hubs.  I do know what you mean though, I get quite a few people with one or two hubs and 80 follows commenting 'great hub' and following me.

             Hey Faybe, I think it's funny you are friends with Habee! Hehe. Anyway, I have a manic side and I thought I would tell you two of the best things I have found to help me in dark times.
             
             First, I make sure I've eaten something, along with a multivitamin. Sometimes the lows are brought on by a simple missing part in our constitution.
             
             Second, I get rhythm, like the Johnny Cash song. Get outside, go for a walk, do some sit ups, wave your arms over your head and move to a rhythum, it really works!

                Hi, Ben-sometimes in these forums, I feel ignored, too.  I'm sure it's not intentional, but sometimes folks get on a tangent and people are left out.
                I've been on the Mental Illness thread and really think it's one of the most sincere yet fun ones ever.  Maybe you'll rethink?  Anyway, at least you're here!

                      when I get ignored I just go back to my own threads where people who actually like me some can come and talk - it works for awhile until somebody discovers they can have another private  conversation for pages and pages there - !  Then I just rudely interrupt and say something unintelligible to make them wonder!  heh heh - good clean fun?

    Any forum ,anywhere ,unless you find the title or someones opinion diverse or off the wall can be boring ,from slightly rah rah ,hurry up  to 'kill me now' boring...but
    
    Now to condradict myself, forums arnt boring ,but sometimes people can be ,but thank God everyday (or week) is different.
    
    And the best thing I love about Hubpages is the way they facilitate comments or communicate 'the haps', the writing part ,oh thats my part Ive put it down to reconstruction and revamping my markets..(  in other words b/s  an lazy )

    I was recently on an English Forum and it eventually closed down as so many people simply flagged and complained about other peoples writings, even when there was nothing to complain about, I think the same will happen to any forum where the people running it allow themselves to be bullied by the complainers, forums should be monitored by those providing the service and if they dont do that and simply ban people because of some small minded busy body then they should close up shop.
