Scammy E-book Ethics

Is it unethical to sell a parody based e-book on how to get rich quick if you disclaim up front that you would not actually make money following the steps and it's full of garbage? I assume people would still buy it even though you clearly say it doesn't actually work.

I don't think that would be unethical, if it's marketed as a comedy send-up.  Most of the ebooks that are sold as genuine are full of garbage anyway.

I would agree with Marisa - If you clearly advertise it as satire and they still fall for it, that is their own fault.

PS: If anybody is dumb enough to believe that it is genuine, please give me their details - they might be interested in buying a used Acropolis. wink
