This is something I keep thinking about lately. If you can achieve success in these turbulent times (economic crisis etc.) how much more can you achieve when things improve?
What I mean is if you can make a sale here or earn a few decent clicks with your ad sense account or attract decent traffic, or if not on HP but in the outside world you can hold onto a decent job or get a new job or whatever you must be able to do so much more when the economy starts growing again. The very nature of the boom bust cycle is that in time things will boom again and if you can make money or succeed in some other way during the bust part of the cycle just think of how well you could do during the boom times? When any monkey can succeed.
I am so thankful for finding HP. Every click in ad sense and every sale with amazon proves to me that as things improve I should be able to do very nicely and I may even be able to claim some small part of that recovery through my efforts now. If you have had any success here since the economic crisis you might want to think about how much more that success will be in economic recovery!
Wow the power of positive thinking eh! I was a little glum about my adsense and amazon earnings, but when you put it in context of a major economic slump where people have really cut back as have companies advertising, then I'm not doing to shabby after all!
Thankis for the uplifting post!
What a wonderful way to think. I have had some success with Ad Sense and Amazon-but more so Hub Pages gave me the opportunity to be comfortable sharing my writing. I guess in a way the falling economy helped improve my self confidence and look into new possibilities to find more lasting happiness, within myself rather than within a career.
When the economy does start to improve I hope that my success with Amazon or Ad Sense Improves (that would be great!), as long as I can stay on this new path, and not revert back to the person I was when I felt lost in life.
(I think I am rambling-and not sure if that had much to do with your original posting.... SORRY )
It's all good. I just thought I would share what has been going on in my head and see what it provokes in others
Mission accomplished! At least with you
Now who's next?

Is there anyone who makes a decent living from writing on HubPages?I don't want to know amounts or anything like that I just want to know if there are writers who make a living from writing on HubPages. When I say a decent living I mean they don't have to supplement it by working on other sites...

I had a conversation with a new online writer and I realized what I recommended is a bit more specific than I used to be based on what I've seen be successful. I'm in the middle of refreshing several Hubs (150 to go), but here is what I tell others and am trying to do myself.- write on...

My Amazon sales are dead in the water. My Amazon Caps are discrete - I have added only when directly related to a product.I am not getting much traffic at the mo, so I guess this is an issue. I posted around 60 Hubs in Dec 2014, so it should be these have not been picked up by Google as organic...

My Hub "Creatures of the Past" is being considered for a niche site. I need to fix my Amazon capsule. I have the dinosaur chart but did not make comment on it. Also they say the title needs work. Can someone help me? I am new at this and totally lost.

There are some who contend that there is a gross inequality regarding income. They maintain that there are poverty amid wealth. They vehemently decry that there should be equalization in terms of income. They maintain that having wealth borders on obscenity & they should...
