Love to hear your critique on my First Hub "Artistic Inspirations"

   Greetings all
   
   I am exactly two weeks old here with hubpages and am so pleased to be a part of it. I was so excited when I found it, that I psend in my first hub, the very same day.
   
   While I put my next one out there, I would be so glad to get your feedback on my first and hear where I could improve. I just placed my Amazon capsule today.
   
   However, I am taking awhile to post my next hub because
   1. I wanted to get to know hubpages and their policies better.
   2. Am identifying topics to focus on my first passion which is art and design. Although I write on all subjects, I enjoy giving an artist's twist to it.

      That was a lovely first hub. I especially loved the drawing of the mermaid and it definitely shows how artistic inspiration can come from anywhere.
      
      As for a critique, I have two minor things. They are just my personal opinions though, so please do not take them to heart:
      
      1. I've always thought it looks very unprofessional to start an article with "I am so excited to be writing on this site. This is my first article." I believe that something like this should be left for the bottom of your hub, but like I said, just my personal opinion.
      
      2. Formatting. Break up your paragraphs a bit so it is easier for people to read.
      
      Like, I said lovely first hub. I rather enjoyed it and I'm sure many more will too. I'm going to follow you as I'm sure there will be many more great hubs to come. Welcome to HubPages!

         ... am going right now to my hub and loosing that tone on my first para as you suggested.
         I have only been a closet writer and thanks to hubpages community I had the courage to realise dream to publish... am confident I am going to grow with all your support here.

      Hi Rembrandz,
      
      First off, I got curious and went to your cartoon community. I have to say you have quite a good eye in art. Although I'm not an art connoisseur, I can always confidently say I like what I see. Next, I read through your first hub and it looked like you were introducing yourself to the community.
      
      I would suggest that you post some of your designs on the hubs and describe whatever you want whether it's the design itself or the feeling that complements the design. Maybe you just want to say a few words or post your design. Maybe you want to write a story using your designs as your spring board.  Whichever you think will help in developing your craft whether writing or designing an art, it still works both ways.
      
      Now last but not the least, you were asking for a critique, I will have to wait when you post several articles then I can give you an honest critiquing with enough basis to make one. Currently the one you posted is like I said, just introducing yourself to the community.
