Sh*tty Day

Anybody else have a sh*tty day?

    I did.

I don't get into a lot of personal stuff here... suffice it to say, it was because of sh*tty thing #1, sh*tty thing #2, and sh*tty thing #3. (Also, sorry for the profanity, but the repeated sh*tty is making me feel better.) lol

Anyway... here's how I've decided to look at it.  These 3 things could have happened on and ruined 3 different days. Even though today is a whopper, its sort of the "bandaid method" of sh*tiness.  (One clean yank.)  So, I'm looking forward to putting today behind me, and having better days ahead.

What do you guys do to get over a cr*ppy day?

All days are good-- but 'stuff' happens. I like that you realized it was better to have them all at once. Probably gave you some other insights.

C'mon we are waiting for the hub.
Tomorrow can't help but be better.

That's kind of my approach too - As most of the bad day is over, I kind of write it off as "bad day" and plan for "starting clean" the next one.  Even if the next one doesn't turn out much better, at least it's always a new one.   hmm

Thanks guys! I'm doing much better, mostly, I was just venting, and trying to find some humor and a little light in the situation.

The husband isn't home tonight to share an adult conversation with, and I find I'm not such a great mom when I've got the negatives on my mind.  So, I get it out, and then I can focus on what matters (my kiddos, who are currently extremely excited because I'm letting them drink melted ice cream out of cups.)

Rochelle - Thank you.  You are right.  Each day is a gift.  I try to remember that.  But every once in a while, I'm ready to let my head hit the pillow, and let one of those "gifts" fade away. lol

LaMama- A treat sounds just right.

    K. Partin - Already got the cussing out of the way.

Tantrum - Agreed.  I usually give myself a few minutes to be pissy (I've learned not to ignore the emotions... I tried that for awhile, and it got me into a bad place) and then move on.

Lynne - You rock.  Hugs always help!

I write or play online games to relax. If my day is really bad, then I resort to playing my RPG computer game and take out my frustration that way. smile

Anyway, my friends, I'm now sitting here, chatting w/ my HP buds, sipping a glass of red wine, and generally enjoying life.

May have been a crappy day, but the night is turning out just fine.

    Thanks for the cheering up.

Start singing a song by Paul Thorn!
"It's a great day to whup somebody's ass,
it's a bad day so you better stay off my back!
You might get coldcocked if you cross my path,
it's a good day to whup somebody's ass!

There's more but you get the drift!
