I can't enter through the HubMob link to enter the roundup hub for St Andrew's Day and Everything Scottish.  It says "page can't be found".  It shows Princessa's avatar, and the question.  It shows the green bar, "answer this question", but nothing happens when I click it.

      Hi,

I just tested the link on Firefox and it worked fine for me on Firefox.

It took me to this link:
      http://hubpages.com/question/45487/hubm … ish?open=1

Is it still not working for you?

      Thanks,

      -Larry

I used the link you posted.  It still says the 'page cannot be found' under the box.  I can click on 'answer the question', but it still will not do anything when I click on 'make a hub'.

prettydarkhorse was unable to enter a hub too.

There seems to potentially be a lot of issues going on with Internet Explorer on HubPages in the last few days.  I also started having the problem mistyhorizon describes about the backbutton.  And, like her, it just started a few days ago.

Will HubPages be looking into this recent crop of problems with Internet Explorer users, other than suggesting thousands of us abandon IP and install Firefox?

I don't mean to sound snotty, but the learning curve on a new browser is not something I want to embrace right now.  And people who are proficient with Firefox and using it a long time, telling me how easy it is, doesn't really change my lack of "oomph" to take on a change right now.

At my brother's suggestion, I went into "Tools" in IP, compatibility view settings, and checked "display all websites in compatibility view", which was not checked.  This did not make a difference.  Maybe after I shutdown and restart?

Again, not meaning to be testy.  I appreciate any help you can render Larry.

I hope they fix the problem for you ...but, i cant help but chime in and say, there is no learning curve with firefox and  we all abandoned IE it because it works badly.

Firefox will make your life easier, especially being able to use all the plug-ins that make doing all this online stuff quicker (which are optional and can be learned one at a time)

Thanks sf, that helps. Maybe I'm so negative because I had to use my sister's computer back in Sept when my laptop got a nasty bug.  Her computer has Firefox, Open Office, and is an old computer and extremely slow.  The whole experience was just really bad.

My brother (same house) is setting up his laptop right now for me with Firefox, to use tomorrow if I am still unable to start the HubMob roundup.

I am also switching out laptops, probably by the weekend.  SOOO no better time to make a change.

Thanks again.  You're my EF Hutton, or HP Hutton.  big_smile

Last night, when you made your first post about the problem, I also couldn't access the page. A few minutes ago, I  tried again and it is working.

      BTW... I'm using Safari (Mac).

Hope you can also get in now.
