Why are Pakistan/ Indian marriages so rare!

The news has been running this story about the cricket player marrying a tennis player, I thought that was a bit rare, but why would they not marry each other when they are living in adjoining countries.
    Sounds very strange to me!

Because pakistan and India are in a permanent half-state of war I guess, different religions too etc etc.

Hi Ernest, enjoy your posts here.

They do marry. I have two friends, married, he from Pakistan and she from India. But they're not in the news because they're just regular ole' folks. Not interesting enough for the media. smile

Am the daughter of a pakistani mother and Indian father... Trust me it happens; just you hear only the negative side of it in the media! smile

I'm sorry to hear that. Please don't let it get to you. The reality is not what the media puts out there as those of us with personal experience can attest to.
