For anyone who is wondering about how many points they lose if they delete a hub, I deleted two hubs a week or so ago and I lost only 4 points -- maybe. I'm not sure even if the score went down a day here and a day there because someone felt they needed to rate me down on the score for a story or two. In that case, it wouldn't have anything to do with my having deleted two hubs. I'm going to find out, though, because now I've deleted one more.
