Surely it depends how big the hub is? But remember hub over a certain size can be a bit daunting - better to split into two separate hubs!
I agree with bristol boy but you can easily split it into several text capsules split by photos,videos,quizzes or polls.
How are you using them?
To a reader an H2 line is really only a formatting issue, that is it appears larger and bolded. So mainly it's a readability (sp?)issue.
But to search engines it is special and they expect to see relevant content associated with it.
I have a hub with 1200 words and 13 H-2 headers. Is that too much or should I change some into H-3?
If you mean your insurance hub - looks fine, H2 use seems appropriate to content.
Probably the most optimal thing is to use bold instead of Hx. The title is in an H1. Many people misuse H tags and I'd error by not using them.

Will having too many comments posted on a hub be a cause for concern? Could too many comments make a hub less google worthy? I have one hub with over 200 and that seems excessive.
