People like me spend a lot of time and effort in backlinking. So, when a visitor clicks on the link I have posted somewhere long ago and reaches here only to view a 'no existence' page, they will be naturally disappointed. And if that visitor goes away to view something else, I will be disappointed that, I had to unpublish that particular hub to comply with the everchanging policies and guidelines. My suggestion is that if someone reaches a page by clicking a direct link from somewhere on the web only to find that its no longer there, can the display page display the particular hub's author's other hubs?, so that the hubber do not lose that traffic? Your views and viewpoints are welcome.
When a hub is moderated, we do provide links to related hubs on the page (to visitors not signed in). While this may not be ideal for the author of the original page, we believe it provides the best user experience. We have to balance the authors' goals with the needs of the visitors.
