Photo capsule subtitle not showing in slide show view...could it?

The slide show view could be a more powerful tool for the author if both the capsule subtitle and the caption area were visible during the slide show.

As it is now, the slide show view for a photo / pic shows only the title of the Hub and the caption.

If we could have the subtitle show as well, then it would be possible to create a kind of streaming summary of the Hub. For those readers who choose the slide show over reading through the Hub, I think the ability to see a flowing summary of the content of the Hub in the slide show would be an incentive to read the entire Hub.

Is it possible to include the subtitle in the slide show view?

    Hi Sally,

I'm not quite sure what you mean.  The title of the photo capsule?

The field labeled "Capsule Subtitle" in the photo capsule. Its data is not carried over into the slide show view.

      Hope that helps.

    Hey Maddi,

Using the photo capsules as much as I do, I notice that you can put a title at the top of photo, plus put another phrase or statement under the photo also.

I guess she is asking if the title can be transferred to the Slideshow view, when viewers click on slideshow..the title will not be there.

However, if there are lots of pictures and a changing title, I believe the page would have to reset completely, to reload a new title, instead of just the image/next photo.

Just my thinking. smile wink (*this time on topic)  wink

Data is data and can be displayed as a function of the coding for a view / page. There should not be any additional system overhead in inserting the Capsule Subtitle data in the slide show view that exists now, since the unique Caption data is inserted for each photo view.

Sounds doable.  I'll talk to Paul about it.

Thanks, Maddie. I think this added feature will be a real plus.
