Hi Tranita, welcome to Hubpages smile
First tip I'd suggest is turn off your caps lock in the forums. That is considered 'shouting' and is not good etiquette!
That having been said, just write loads of hubs about what you know about - try to make each at least 500-600 words long with good content, and you should be fine smile

I thought that was a rule usually for professional and business letters lol. I'll keep that in mind though thanks.

    Welcome to hubpages!

The trick is to write, read, comment, ask questions, answer questions, post on the forums, and be careful in the Politics & Religion threads! big_smile

Welcome to hubpages. While having a lot of followers is cool they won't earn you any money. The money traffic comes from the search engines. With that said I have wrote a hub on getting followers on hubpages you should find helpful.

Greetings & Salutations- Welcome to Hubpages! My tips/advice is-write what moves you-follow some who inspire you- leave comments (but keep it clean & don't be rude),have fun & be yourself. As for writing advice-dont make your hubs too long, and add a few pics for visual appeal to draw in readers. Other than that... Write, Write, Write!!  smile

    Hi, Tranita.  Welcome.   smile

I think, maybe, one of the important things to know is that the title you create makes a big difference in whether your Hub is likely to get much traffic or not.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it can take a little while before earnings start to pick up.

Other than that, as others have said, just aim to create some good Hubs (on whatever strikes you).

    Hi Guys.

Im a newbie and trying to get the hang of hubpages. I have a quick question for anyone that knows anything about how to improve my score on hubpages. What does my score have to do with anything?

If your author hubscore goes under 75, your hublinks become nofollow, so it's in your own interest to strive to get and keep your author score above that. Other than that, I don't think it matters what your hubscore is at all.

thanks. i was wondering what that number meant. Mine is dong good i guess. it's steadily moving up.

Well, why don't we start at 75 then? I started at 50. You'd think we'd all start at 75, as a sort of benefit of the doubt type deal, and then either strive to prove ourselves worthy or watch it all slip away...

        Oh well.

I am new here, as of about 1 hour ago, and I just posted my first hub. I hope to stick around and continue to post hubs in my given area (atheism).

        So, hi, all smile
