I have a google adsense account. I had signed up with a different a different phone number and later changed my number. Now, hubpages doesn't accept either phone's last 5 digits. How can I solve this and link the accounts?
HubPages doesn't have anything to do with your phone.
Do you have an Adsense Publisher ID code?
If so, then enter that ID into the affiliate section for GOOGLE Adsense.
You will find "affiliate section" on your statistics page. Click on that and it will bring to the next page, where you can locate and enter you publisher ID.
If you have an Adsense account, but do not know the ID code as a publisher, then I suggest you contact Adsense and get it.
I think it is true that hubbers are being prompted for this information when associating Adsense with HubPages. Sounds like the way to go is to contact Adsense directly and be sure that they accept the new phone number, that this is associated with the same individual as the Adsense ID.
