We all have some regrets so don't pretend you don't. Yes, we can learn from regrets but sometimes we can just regret something without learning from it.
It is interesting that you say that everyone has some regrets.
I am happily to prove you wrong. I have no regrets. I've come to accept my life and the path it has taken. There is no pretending here.
In middle school I regret that I did not stand up when a red-headed girl was teased/bullied by classmates. I regret that I did not invite my new neighbor over for coffee. I regret unsaid words that could have provided encouragement to family members.
I gave my regret to someone who was writing a book about regrets - 10 years ago...can't remember the title of the book or the regret. I got over it.
