    Hey everyone,

Ready for the week's final clue? Here is the clue; each participant gets one guess.

This sweet pastry popular on a Spanish-speaking Caribbean island is named after the island (another island entirely) from where it comes; on that original island, it is named after an ingredient: pork fat.

Gordon Hamilton guessed this correctly: mallorca

      Congratulations, Gordon!

That was a tough one, and you are right. Thanks for explaining the origins of the word, too. smile

You've got 3 entries in tomorrow's daily drawing.

Thanks, Jason. I've eaten them on Mallorca several times and can highly recommend them, despite their unattractive name.

Good job gordon. I had "Grasa de Cerdo"  in my head and the Canary Islands. Was trying to make the Caribbean Island connection. Learned something new, thanks!
