I'm very new to hubpages and have only written a couple of hubs. I've been trying to learn as much as I can about seo and everything, but I came across an interesting dilemma. When I put the url to one of my hubs into a google search it was not on the first couple of pages. I searched for the exact url of my hub and google couldn't find it. Am I missing something or doing something wrong or is this just weird? Any help would be great.

Welcome to hubpages!  Unless you submit your URLs to Google directly, it won't get indexed by Google until it's spiders have crawled your webpage (hub) and indexed it.  It can take up to a couple of weeks before Google finds and indexes a new page.  Sometimes it is quite a bit quicker though.

You may just need to be patient.  If they don't appear in the Google results soon, you can always submit them to Google for indexing manually.

      Best Wishes on Hubpages!

I am not sure if you are missing something or doing something wrong, because I have no reviewed your hubs.

Btw- Welcome to HubPages. You've been here about 13 days and it sometimes takes time for hubs to get indexed. Depending.

If you would like someone to review your hubs, then open a Extreme Hub Makeover forum thread and post the 4 links you have.

You can get critiquing methods from some of the more veteran hubbers, so you can improve upon your hubs if need be by taking the advice given.

I highly suggest reading Sunforged and his wide variety of hubs on SEO(search engine optimization).

I have listed a few of them for you below:

I do hope you enjoy your time here. It's a great place. smile

    Use the cache: operator

Just change the url to the url of your hub. New hubs are normally indexed within a few hours.
