What was it about, and did it have any links?

it was about a positive customer service experience with stamps.com. No affiliate promotion - no links

It was moved to another subject forum.  If you click "your" at the top of the forums it will show the threads you posted on.  Your thread is still there.

Thanks Maddie, obviously I though Hubbers Hangout was the appropriate forum.

Gremlins is my vote - or someone thought they saw something they did not! Hope you retrieve it.

Ok, maybe it's one of my cantankerous days but ...

it was about customer service, so why move it to personal finance, nobody seems to visit that forum.

why wasn't the hangout an appropriate forum?
with topics ranging from happy b-day to adsense checks to happy canada day, and with a forum description that says: "Go off-topic and discuss whatever you like" I fail to see the conflict.

wouldn't it be polite to let posters know their posts have been arbitrarily moved?

hmmm. arbitrary seems to be an appropriate word.

oops, guess I should qualify that but it could just be my perspective.
