I joined hubpages yesterday and posted an original article here. Today it says 'duplicate' below my post link. I've posted this article of mine in two other sites.
In what ways will having a duplicate article affect me?
Also, my hub shows 2 different hub scores. Near my article title, it says 51 and on my photo it says 32. Is this because of the duplicate flag?
Duplicate content that you have written is not prohibited, but there are some negative consequences (see below).
Your author score of 32 and hub score of 51 are two different things, but duplicate content may hurt both.
WE is right. Whether it worries you or not, depends on why you've joined HubPages.
If you're here to promote your blog or other website, it will affect you a lot - because any links to those sites in your Hub become "no follow".
If you're just here to write and enjoy the community, then the scores don't really disadvantage you - but you'll probably worry about them, because you'll inevitably compare your scores to other Hubbers'.

I know hubpages prohibits writers from having duplicate content. My problem is understanding what that exactly means. I heard from many that it means writers can't publish content here that already exists elsewhere, but...
