Welcome to HubPages. I enjoyed the story immensely. I am not sure what 'retuned a smile' means but your tags...are not related to short stories. I would put tags related to writing, books, authors, etc. Otherwise, great job!
I'd also use the keyword tool wordtracker or adwords to find out good or near good $$ keywords
Just type wordtracker or google adwords keyword tool play with the site to learn how it works awesome tool to use.
