When I'm not working, movie, dinner, friends.

Sometimes stay home, rent a movie and watch it on the big screen with surround sound. Invite a few people over and keep it simple.

Yeah, right!  Even I have a friday night ritual Cags. I just can't divulge the innocent and angelic details.

In all actuality, I like to just zone out and watch the tube or rent a movie.  Oh, that reminds me, we finally got to watch that "Wolfman" movie last night, the one with Anthony Hopkins and Beniccio Del Toro.  I do you suppose he spells Beniccio anyway?  Gotta' run, if my wife knows I'm having fun I'll get slapped.

If I had a fn Friday night ritual, I think it would involve going out to eat, and maybe having fun with friends. The way my fridays work, hubby gets home around 600, eats dinner, turns on video games. I  clean house and put kids to bed. then watch video game playing till i fall asleep. Not exactly bad..but a little boring sometimes.

One of my favorites was to come home and order out and buy a six pack and watch DVDs.  I do that less nowadays but it is great way to unwind.  Saturdays are great for going out but I like to stay in on Fridays.

We try not to have rituals.

If you do the same old thing day after day, week after week, year after year, one day you'll wake up and you'll be 70 and you'll look back on your life and find that there wasn't very much to look at  because it was basically all the same.  It all blends together into a very small cloud of very similar memories.

You'll be sad then, but it will be somewhat late for that.

    Sleepin'! (I know...how boring!)Head to bed early!

Usually...I ain't worth shootin' on some Friday eve's after a long week. My wife and I will chill out with one glass of wine a piece...and a good rental movie. But...the good news...about heading to bed early is Saturday morning is rapidly approaching. Definitly...my fav day of the week...and by resting for it...helps make it even more enjoyable!

The rituals in this household are all secret - I would be severely punished if I told you what we do on Friday night.  And Saturday's ritual is even more insane.  Be glad you don't have to know.

My usual "ritual" is a little socializing.  Every once in awhile, though, I love what I'm doing tonight, which is to do NOTHING.   smile    It's just kind of good to "call it a week" and do nothing whatsoever.
