I know this is off-topic...but that's what the hubber's hangout is for right? I am searching for work in Central America. Preferably Costa Rica/Nicaragua. Does anyone have any first-hand experience in this part of the world? Particularly in the writing field. Any advice or connects on writing gigs and/or any work in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks hubbers I love you all

I will be following this too. Would also love to find a writing gig in Costa Rica!

If you know Spanish, you may want to try what is known as the Tele Novelas (Spanish Soap operas) very popular with Spanish speaking audiences.

I do know spanish, but not on the level where they would want me over a local to do the writing. The only way to find work I know is by being able to fulfill a job a native couldn't do. ie: writing for an english publication. Anyone written for these publications? or something similar?
