PLEASE do not recommend yourself, because I am sure you will not get anyone that way.

Right now I am currently following 0 people! I am really slacking and embarassed, not sure why I am shy to follow people. But I am about to start. I've came close, but haven't pulled the string yet.

Give your recommendation(s) of your absolute favorite hubber(s).

    Gogo!

I'll recommend a few, for different reasons smile

    No particular order ...

drbj - for her loyalty to all those that she follows. The quality of her hubs are equal to her loyalty

Darkside - he says what he means and means what he says. Not a mincer of words but a definite fount of information and good, sound advice.

Mark Knowles - much maligned and yet undoubtedly an incredibly helpful man for those that need or ask for it.

Relache - a testament to simply 'getting on with it' - and being successful. And all without blowing her own trumpet.

Sunforged - the man is just so damn tenacious, giving and hardworking. The 60DC says it all.

Sufidreamer - an all round decent guy that's a wealth of info when it comes to freelancing. He shares it too.

Ryankett - I like ambition, more so when it's channelled (sp) progressively, successfuly and with real grit.

Cagsil - all-round bloody good egg and forum friend to all.

SusanaS - a lovely woman that's worked hard to achieve what she has in a short space of time.

Now, if any of you remain unaware of any of the above, go get acquainted big_smile

I think one of the fun parts of HubPages is discovering the writers you want to follow... from reading hubs on different topics, hubs in the news feed, someone you meet in the forum, some of your own followers.
we all follow different writers for different reasons.

my favorites change every day.. there are so many, too many to list. I do know the hubber that helped me the most in learning how to hub and he's already been mentioned a few times.

follow because you want to. no reason to be shy.  enjoy.

I'm afraid I will forget someone. Doster, thanks for the nod, and you are a super writer, too.Truthfully EVERYONE I follow is followed because I like their writingfor different reasons. Some write in blog style, some write poems, Quill has fireside chats,Some are  techy savvy, ediann writes about autism, some writers like lmartin(or is it lmmartin?) in AP reporter style, some like zsusyb write tutorials such as sewing, and I follow some like moneyglitch, liljen, and mailexpress to learn sales promos from them.RNMSM is a nurse and writes from her experience. RevLady, coffesnob, skye2day are female ministers and write from the heart. Cleanlife writes about alcoholism. Wayne Brown..OMG..you just have to see Wayne for yourself!there is an awesome hubber who needs to get of his..and write some more!NGoes by the name of 50caliber (He's a frugal loner out in Arizona)

Forums- If you need help for me it  would have to be cagsil, wrylilt, and the aussies who are on late at night when I need help the most! Probably some more I'm forgetting..Lisa,

My personal recommendations would be as follows:

    1) SognoPiccolo - just because her style rocks and she's my best friend.
    2) nlaile - she's brand new! I talked her into signing up and so far she shows a lot of promise. (And she's my best friend, too).
    3) Christoph Reilly - he cracks me up and writes super awesome stuff.
    4) lorlie6 - absolute sweetheart.
    5) Frieda Babbley - inspirational, creative, helpful, and a balm to the book lover's soul.
    6) Elena. - inspirational, beautiful, and her letters really speak to me.
    7) Misha, Mark Knowles, Ryankett, and Sunforged -- all are great if you want very well-written knowledge on all things making money.  Their participation in the forums are top-notch.
    8) ralwus - just because he is hilarious in the forums, and he confuses me in his hubs. big_smile

    My recommendations?

Definitely Darkside for all the beginner stuff in SIMPLE language.

Edweirdo for good information on things like RSS feeds.

Pcunix - for a COMPLETELY different outlook on writing online (he's been doing it since the 90s and doesn't believe in promotion, just in writing quality content that sells itself.)

Peter Hogan - he's written an SEO guide just for hubbers!

Marisa Wright - for information about both the basics as well as things like correct use of photos with copyrights and building your own sites.

Thisisoli - has his own freelance article site, works from home and is an all round great guy.

Ryankett - that guy just doesn't stop hubbing!

Kangaroo_Jase - to lighten up your day if you need a laugh after too much seo reading. (Great guide on preparing for the invasion of aliens, for a start!)

There are many more I haven't mentioned - sorry! There are just SO many great hubbers, it's hard to keep track.

I do not go in for these sort of things as a rule. It is too easy to offend a fellow Hubber without even trying lately.
But, rules exist to be broken.
I follow quite a few Hubbers, and they are all great writers on many varied topics.
    I would recommend:

    RedElf

    Jane Bovary
    Lady Guinivere (sorry about spelling)
