If it's one every day, I need a start-over tomorrow, because I'm behind. If it's 30 in 30 I'm fine.
It's a personal challenge, which basically means you don't have to complete it at all if you don't want - but it's yourself you'll be letting down if you do.
You can do them as fast or as slow as you want.
Wrylilt is correct. The 30-Day Hub Challenge is designed to be 30 hubs in 30 days. It doesn't matter if you work on them for 29 days and publish all 30 on 30th day, or if you publish one a day for 30 days. Anything in between works too. An advantage to publishing one a day is that it "forces" you to get into a rhythm. That rhythm can be very inspirational.
O.K., just wanted to make sure. I intend to do it, I just wanted to follow the rules. Thanks.

I will be attempting this in July and since this is my first attempt we will see how it goes. Now the question is whether I post my links here as I go.
