"Yesterday, we brought you the story of Cleveland Browns fans being charged a $5 pedestrian fee just for walking into a parking lot used for pre-game tailgating."

I know I was shocked the other day when I was told the parking fee was $30 in Minneapolis, but charging someone to "walk"?  Ugh!

People are trying to make a buck any way they can and it's getting rediculous!

Actually, no.  A driver and their passengers pay only $30 in total to park, walk around the carpark to their heart's content, and walk to the game.  But if a person walks onto the privately owned carpark to take part in a tailgating party they are being charged $5. That may or may not be reasonable, but it is different from what you wrote.

      Yeah, thanks for the clarification.

Or, it could be a dollar to park and $29 to walk through the parking lot.

It still sounds ridiculous to pay $30 to park and watch a game.

In most cities $30 for a few hours of parking is the norm.  Public transit is the answer to that wink
