I've noticed that a few of my hubs have extremely long URLs. Lately, I've been working on making these shorter. I know that each hub comes with a short URL as well as a long one. As far as backlinks are concerned, does it matter which one you link to?

After changing the title of the hub, the URL remains the same. Does it affect the existing traffic or the position on Google ? How often the title could be changed ? Is it advisable or not ?
