I want to produce hubs on a different topic under a different "pen" name. How do I do that? The system will not allow me to open a second account with the same email address as my first account. I'm confused

From what I understand, all you need is a different e-mail address.
Yup. Just grab a new email address at gmail or whatever. You can even set it to forward any email to your existing email account.
When you open up your new HP account, just be sure to go into My Account > Affiliate Settings and add all of your AdSense/Analytics/Amazon affiliate IDs in there. You use the same IDs that you used on your primary account.
