I'm trying to sign up to Amazon's Affiliate program, but when I click 'finish', it says 'an error occured' and that I need to produce a valid URL... My URL should be valid because I copied and pasted it from the browser on my profile page. I think it might have something to do with my username having a full-stop on the end. Can anyone help me?
You're correct - the fact you have a period in your username means you won't be allowed to register under that URL. Here are some options:
-Create a new hubpages account.
-Sign up for an account using another address (personal blog, squidoo etc)
Sorry. If you do a search of the forums, you'll see the problem with the period has come up in the past.
If "umo" is available as a user name, how about closing the current account and starting over. 11 days, 1 hub, 0 followers, no major loss. A nuisance to go through, of course, but bearable.
