I often notice images used as profile pictures in the past will randomly become the favicon image - It didnt seem so odd when it displayed the very last image I used but the one it is showing currently is quite old.
Just wondering if this behavior is a result of a larger issue.
I dont care what the favicon image is butamcurious why its on roulette setting.
What is a favicon?
I'm having no issue with my profile picture, even though I have changed it, yet again, back to an older picture I was using.
Mine does not seem to rotate, so I guess it could be bias to the picture you used.
favicon (favorites icon) its the little image that appears next to the url bar, in your tabs and originally in your "favorites"(IE bookmarks)
currently you should see the little hub "H" - but on your profile it will be a tiny version of your profile picture and on any hubs you author
usually its your current picture, mine is currently an old b&w image last used 3-6 months ago - its more apparent to me since my avatar/profile image is quite bright
*edit* hubs doesnt give you any favi loving Cags - your defaulted to the "H" - you woud have to look at someone elses hubs to see the function in action
I have experienced that recently with my current profile pic, but not with an old one, I assumed it was an intentional (yet pointless) upgrade.
EDIT: It only shows mine when I visit my profile, all over site pages it shows as the 'H'
I checked it - it is your current avatar pic that shows up as the favicon - but only on your profile page. On the hubs - it is the HP logo.
Something with the browser, maybe?
very possible browser related - im using a netbook that has had a broken keyboard for 6 months - so could have an old ico cached.
and im always switching between stations and the 3 main browsers - which could possibly all have diff icos cached
sidd solved it
i actually dont see anyone having an ico but me with opera on this netbook .. hubs hates me when I use opera in general, twitchy things are always occurring
Right, it is showing the profile pic of every user when you visit their profile page.
Could it be that you mistook somebody elses profile favicon for one of your own old profile pics?
When I visit SiddSingh's profile, for example, I can see his compass.
I can also see Cagsils favicon, and Sunforged I can see your current pic.
