I am in Norwich, which is a long way from Nottingham, but if tonnes of people happen to come from Peterborough and Cambridge then a meetup in those places is fairly easy for you?
I suspect that if it were to be me who hostup a meetup it would be in Norwich, if the demand isn't there for hubbers from Norfolk and Suffolk etc and there was a greater demand for say Cambridge... then I would probably try and persuade somebody else to arrange it, and then just travel down to attend
I wouldn't do the two and half hour trip to Nottingham if you held one, put it that way
Parts of East Anglia are just as easy as London for me (when you take into account the hassle factor of London) so it would just depend on the when and where the meetups were as to which I'd think about going to.
i'm in Northamptonshire, not a million miles away, I would love to meet up with other hubbers and the idea of meeting up in a pub with a well stocked bar just makes the idea even better I would travel up to roughly an hour to get somewhere!
