More observations on the "farm weeding" controversy

    Another observation on the farm weeding operation by Google...

    They are highlighting OLDER information.

    I tried the keywords that used to bring up topic of my hub in the first page. It's not there. I expected that. However, here's the interesting observation.

    The links I brought up are several months, even a year or more old. 

    Did anybody else see this?

    I think you have a point.  Nellie H raised the issue elsewhere about wheather the new alg favours hubs with more comments.  I find it is RECENT comments that are the factor.  In other words anything current that is being edited regularly and is being commented upon is favoured more.

    This lines up with Google's aim to remove stale, irrelevant (outdated?)content.
