Can anyone help?

    I need some way of making headers. The type of software (or whatever you use) that you'd point an idiot at. I'm not talking ground breaking design stuff, just simple colors and text combos.

    If it helps, my 8 year old nephew can do this kind of thing better. Only I don't suppose he can make me some at school smile

    super easy - paint.net


    more of learning curve but very functional  gimp.org


    you will find both are highlighted on the paint.net page


    here is a lifehacker article from 2010 that gives paint.net some love

    I always stick both on any computers i fix up

    paint.net will work great for your immediate needs and then you learn gimp as you please

    I second the vote for paint.net.   I don't know what I ever did without it - even though I'm only using a fraction of its features, I'm sure.
