I have just tried several times to post the widget from here into my Myspace profile but it doesn't work.
I checked I had copied it all correctly and I had so no idea what's gone wrong. Anyone else tried this and had the same problem?
I have the same problem. Tried it several times on My Space, but it doesn't work at all.Tried it on a other site too were normally I can place widgets, but that doesnt work either.
Well, that explains it then. At least it wasn't me doing anything wrong!
Thanks for responding, Lazur and Fawntia!
Whilst I like the Java widget, I do agree that a non-Java widget would also be appreciated. However, due to my limited knowledge of programming and scripts I cannot suggest an alternative.
Lazur, I think you are right that it is possible to make a widget that would work in more places using Adobe Flash. (YouTube videos are Flash-based, for example.) I made the widget, but I don't know Flash (nor do the other Hubpages engineers, to my knowledge). Of course we could learn, but that takes time, so we did what was most convenient to start with. Maybe in the future if we decide to make it a priority, we will make a Flash widget. (But we already have lots of other projects ahead of us, so I can't say for sure if or when that will be.)

I noticed it wasn't working on my blog. So I re-copied and re-pasted the code just in case something had been updated, but still no success.Anyone else having problems?

I saw this neat feature to add a widget to my website. Now, I don't have a real website, but I do have a profile page at <snipped link> and msn-space. I've already contacted Hyves to check if there's a problem...

I just tried again on my Kindle Fire and it didn't work. There must be a promlem with my Pinterest account. My direct log in seems to be working fine. I'll keep investigating.
