Is it common or normal for someone to post a request immediately followed by a response by them? It seems to me that that is not really right... they are using the request forum to get people to their own hubs... Which way do some of you who have been here longer see it?

It may be considered spamming if the person posts a promotional hub in response to his or her own request. When I notice it, I remove the request, since we do not want the requests section to become just a way to get extra attention for your own hubs.
