I've just joined HP and am trying to create my first hub. I've seen other hubs where there is text on the left and Amazon products on the right. Can someone tell me how to achieve that.
I suppose it's something obvious but for the life of me I can't see it.
Sandy
Sandy welcome to HP , you can do that by first loading an Amazon capsule and then a text capsule. You use the arrows on the capsule that is horizontal to align capsules to left or right. Align the text capsule to the right and the amazon capsule will fall into place .
Hope this help
When wrapping, text is always aligned to the left, images and other elements on the right.
Not always, you can get the text to align to the right. It depends how you do it. For example, if you have the Amazon capsule as full sized and make the text capsule half size, the text will align to the right.
Thanks for information. I have seen that somewhere, now that you mention it. With images, it would always be the text on the left, is my impression.
I didn't know that! I'll have to play with that to see how it looks. Thanks.
Thanks for the input Website Examiner. Are you saying that it is possible to have the text on the left and wrap the wording around a product.
I'm assuming in this case you would not use the Amazon capsule but import products into the text module.
You are welcome. You cannot import anything like Amazon products or images into the text module, HubPages doesn't allow for that kind of encoding.
To get the text on the left, put the (e.g.) Amazon capsule above the text capsule. Then click on the right-oriented arrow on the Amazon capsule, and you will get the effect that you want.
Ahh, your my hero. Now that is exactly what I wanted. Now the text automatically wraps around the product. Looks much better.
Now perhaps I can finish this hub and get it published.
Actually, Website Examiner, you can now put links to Amazon products in the text capsules. They have just recently changed it so that you can do that, and if anyone buys from that link you get all the commission and not a share as you do when you use an Amazon capsule.

I have been playing with some different layouts as to where I have been putting the photos, amazon ads, and etc. I don't have a lot of traffic. I'm starting to learn about marketing, keywords, and SEO. Even so, I don't have a way to judge how people are perceiving the hubs as far as eye appeal. You...

How do I put the photo on the left side of the text capsule instead of the right side of the text?

I think I missed something here but have recently seen some discussions about in-text Amazon links v Capsules. How do you put in text links in, is there a special way? Do I just get the link that I get from Amazon when I go on there and choose the product? Or does this only work for people who have...

I'm still having problems saving text capsules that have links in them.I've been having the problem for months now. Every now and then I can't save text capsules that have contextual links within the capsule. I'm using Firefox and I've tried Safari today. I can only get it to work most of the time...

The biggest issue I have with all capsules having to be full width is that there now seems to be no provision for sidebar content. I've had to eliminate several sidebar text capsules because although they have supplementary information that would be useful for the reader, they just can't be fitted...
