I am having one of them moments when I just feel the need to update my profile page and right now I want it to read better than it already does, Are there any tips from someone who knows a bit more about writing a good full page profile about yourself that details your abilities and which also acts as an advert for potential companies.

I have looked at others profile pages which is helpful to some degree, but I have been struggling with it for quite some time now, sort of like when I try to write my offline resume/cv it all goes pear shaped or just doesn't do my work experiences any justice at all!

I mean on a profile page here, could I put all the links to all the main things I do elsewhere, or is there a limit somewhere along the line of limited word count on our profiles.

Anyway...thanks for allowing me to vent my profile questionables!

I put everything on there but the kitchen sink!  Well actually I own a couple of content websites that I didn't add but basically I figured add it all in just in case!

Nobody yet has told me it's too - whatever the sin would be - but I'd value some input too.

I've only been here 3 weeks and hitting the hubs hard to try to get answers to things - just want to make sure I'm doing everything ok and by the UNOFFICIAL rules, and not accidentally falling foul of anything!

I saw your profile page and you have put yourself in a favorable position by having accounts all over the internet for your writing, that is what a profile page should look and read like, an introduction with no fluff, just who you are and what you do online.

I'm going to order some of my links a bit better.

        Cheers!

Why thank you. In my enthusiasm, I missed out the essential step of looking at anyone else's profile pages when I did mine, so nice to hear!  Having flown under the radar for years this ruthless self-promotion lark is actually all a bit new to me, so I'm never sure if I'm getting it right or way over the top!

I too struggle with my profile page.  In fact, I've asked my sister to consider writing it for me.  I can write other people's, but not my own.

Yes, you can put all your links on the profile page, no limit that I'm aware of.  Some people have a page full.

Right that's it I'm posting all of my current links then, and am going to order them or do something, mind you these profile pages are hard to pin down, so I guess it's just a trial and error sort of thing, thanks for replying to my profile troubles!

I still think it's missing something, but I don't know what, maybe I'm looking for something that I do not have or could link to.

I still think I need to add an order of introduction or a lead through my experiences, but I just don't know how to approach the thing....I've written countless articles and other stuff and I can't sort my profile page here!...the stress of it is making me go bald......!

The profile page is a good place to showcase your best hubs or links to other blogs and websites that you have written. Its a good landing spot.

Yep that's it, nice profile page you have too, with lots of links and as a content writer myself, it's nice to see what others do online.

My profile page is a work in progress as is the one over at Squidoo and on my blogger account! - So many profile pages!!, with possibilities of promoting different things, must just set aside a week or so to plan this out!!
