Google ads pop up on my first hub but I have no adsense (or any other kind if the truth be told). Is this ususal?
There are always AdSense ads on hubs. If you get an active account, you will be entitled to 60% of the page impressions; currently you receive 0%, so all revenue goes to Hubpages.
Yes, if you are not signed up, any ad revenue goes to HP.
I think you can also click a preference to NOT have ads displayed on a particular hub. At least you used to be able to.
I know I did it a long time ago on a tragic subject that just didn't seem like it should have ads.

Is it right for ads from Adsense to be on display on hubs of a person with disabled Adsense account? It somehow hurts to see those ads, knowing you cannot earn from them anymore. Or is the community benefiting somehow...
